At the Institute of Public Speaking corporate social responsibility isn’t just a marketing buzzword – it’s a core value. Our primary mission of providing our customers with the best in Public Speaking and Leadership training is what we live and breath everyday. Additionally, we acknowledge the need of our business to give back to the community and world which we serve. It is our firm belief that organizations should give back as a show of goodwill and gratitude. Our actions as citizens, businesses and corporations all have an impact. We’d like to make a tangible positive impact by doing what we can. In the 15+ years we have been in business we have given back to dozens of organizations which server the community or greater good. From today forward – we will highlight them annual on our blog. This practice isn’t driven by anything other than to raise awareness of these amazing non-profits in their outstanding contributions to our world. Samaritans’ mission is to reduce the incidence of suicide by alleviating despair, isolation, distress and suicidal feelings among individuals in our community, 24 hours a day; to educate the public about suicide prevention; and to reduce the stigma associated with suicide. We accomplish this through services that emphasize confidential, non-judgmental, and compassionate listening.
